Just another day in the Bennett Family

Our new ride October 22, 2011

With another Bennett on the way, an upgrade in a stroller was needed. We found one of craigslist recently and just took it on a test drive around the block.

Ella Claire and the Dentist August 27, 2011

Ella Claire’s first time to the dentist went exactly as expected.

She was eager at first then had a complete meltdown. She won over the whole office with her stories.

The previous day we went to Dr. P for her 3 year check-up. Ella Claire is convinced that when they gave her the flu shot that it put a baby in her tummy.

She tells everyone that they put a baby in her tummy with the shot. We’ve been praying for the baby in her tummy since it happened.

Sweet Landry Paige has been sick all week. She had been crying all morning. Gage asked if he could try to calm her down. Within five minutes of him holding her, she calmed down and fell asleep. He is truly a great big brother.

San Diego Zoo – Day 2 August 22, 2011

Day 2 of our big trip we ventured to the San Diego Zoo. We are big zoo fans to begin with and the San Diego Zoo did not disappoint. I was a little afraid the expectations might be too high but we all loved it!

This might be the only family pic of the whole trip!

The polar bear was one of our favorite animals to see.

Hello, San Diego!

The 2nd week of August, we ventured out to San Diego to see my sister, brother in law, and niece. We have talked about this trip for what seems like forever. Our kids were really excited. I was just excited to be exiting the 100 degree weather that didn’t seem to be letting up at all. This was our first time to fly with all four kids. I don’t have any pics but it went really well.

The first day we just hung out at the beach. No pics of this as it was a little crazy. That night we went back to the beach to try to find crabs.

These pics are the only evidence of our sunscreen fail. Aunt Mindy was in charge of sunscreen and somehow my kids faces got missed. Thankfully it didn’t seem to really bother them, and it was gone within a couple of days.

We didn’t catch any crabs, but we had lots of fun.

L & L – July – 7 months August 21, 2011

In July, Alyssa Maisaino met me at the Gaylord and took some great pics of the girls.

The girls now seem to be constantly aware of each other and touching if within reach. At night, when they are put to bed awake, you can hear them “talking” to each other.

Lucy Lou

Lucy is crawling everywhere. She now has three teeth and loves to eat. She will eat just about anything you give her. She is very verbal – says dada, buba, and lots of other sounds. She gets into everything. She is very content 90% of the time and loves to just be held.

Landry Paige

Landry is quite the sitter. She sits up straight like she has been doing it her whole life. If you lay her on her tummy, she immediately works to get into the sitting position. She is a little harder to please than Lucy. She likes what she likes :). She has two teeth on the bottom and loves to gnaw on baby mum mums. She talks some, says all of her basic sounds. Her new favorite thing is to give kisses. If you ask for kisses, she will put her mouth up to your face.

Lake Days. June 21, 2011

A lake is the landscape’s most beautiful and expressive feature.  It is earth’s
eye; looking into which the beholder measures the depth of his own nature.
~Henry David Thoreau

We love the lake. We try to go as much as possible. In June, we went with the Collins clan to our friends, the Thurmans. They have a great spot on Cedar Creek Lake that has been to home to many of our family memories.

Mothers Day 2011 May 8, 2011

Filed under: Uncategorized — Alissa @ 9:41 pm

My two goals for Mother’s Day this year were easy in my book:

1. Relax

2. Get a decent picture of me with all of my squids

My goals may or may not have been a little ambitious. The relaxing part happened. The picture part, not so much.

But I did some pretty cute pics of the little ones…
